Joanes Fiol

Joanes Fiol graduated as a doctor in 1983 and specialist in epidemiology since 1988. He has worked in the national AIDS program since 1989 with 29 years of experience. He has developed South-South cooperation with countries such as Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic in the development of collaborative projects with the Global Fund (GFATM). Focal point for UNGASS, GARPR and currently GAM since its inception. He is also focal point for UNAIDS-Estimates and is currently responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Cuban national aids program.
